How Kanta handles privacy and personal data

Kanta helps managers run teams, leagues, tournaments, and livestreams. This page explains what data is handled in the product, why it is used, and which controls are available to managers and visitors.

What we collect

We process account profile data, authentication details, competition setup records, roster data, match operations, livestream session metadata, and consent preferences. Managers control most of the content they create inside the platform.

Why we use it

Data is used to authenticate users, power competition management workflows, publish public match views, operate first-party livestreaming, and maintain basic security and product reliability.

Cookie use and consent

Essential cookies are required for sign-in, security, and core functionality. Optional cookie categories are controlled through the consent banner and can be revisited at any time from the footer or manager settings page.

Manager rights and controls

  • Access

Managers can review their account profile, owned competitions, teams, and operational records.

  • Export

Managers can download a machine-readable export of the data owned by their account.

  • Deletion

Managers can permanently delete their account and the data owned by it, subject to integrity checks.

  • Consent control

Visitors and managers can revisit cookie preferences at any time from the footer or settings.

Data retention

  • Account profile · For the lifetime of the account

Basic identity and authentication data stays available while the account remains active.

  • Competition and roster data · For the lifetime of the account unless deleted earlier

Teams, leagues, tournaments, players, coaches, fixtures, and related match operations remain available to managers until removed.

  • Livestream session metadata · Short-lived

Realtime livestream session records expire automatically when heartbeats stop and stale sessions are purged.

  • Consent preferences · 12 months after the latest update

Cookie preference records are stored on the device so visitors do not have to re-answer on every visit.

  • Account deletion requests · Processed immediately after confirmation

When deletion succeeds, owned data is removed from the primary application database as part of the same workflow.

Account deletion

Managers can delete their account from settings after a typed confirmation step. Deletion permanently removes the manager profile and the owned data that can be safely removed from the primary application database in the same workflow.
